Tetrazinc Rich Primer 441 Two component epoxy primer
Tetrazinc Rich Primer 441 is a two component epoxy primer with high content of metallic zinc. Contains over 85% zinc in the dry film and provides excellent corrosion protection.
It is suitable (as part of an anti-corrosion coating system) for the protection of metallic structures which are exposed to highly corrosive environments.
It is recommended for offshore constructions, production and storage facilities for chemicals and petrochemicals, power plants and stations, bridges, etc.
Surfaces should be clean, dry and free from oil, grease and deposits of salts or other materials that could prevent or affect the adhesion.
Before application, surfaces must be evaluated and treated accordingly.
Suggested preparation
Oils and greases are removed manually using a solvent (SSPC-SP1) and then the surface is sandblasted with Sa2½ or SSPC-SP6 There should be no signs of oxidation on the surface before applying TETRAZINC RICH 441.
Application
Before mixing the two ingredients, mix very well component A alone. Before mixing the two ingredients, mix very well component A alone. Put all the B into the container of A, mix and leave the mixture 15-20minutes before applying. Apply the mixture within the Pot life time limit.
Apply one or two layers depend on the desirable film thickness.
