Acrylux PU 551 Acrylic, aliphatic polyurethane paint

ACRYLUX PU 551 is a two-component acrylic, aliphatic polyurethane paint of high crosslinking degree with very high gloss and very high durability.

Polyurethane finishing coating for interior and exterior surfaces. It is suitable for metallic constructions which exposed to various types of corrosive environments, for agricultural machineries, earth moving machineries, truck chassis-trailers and for painting cementitious floors exposed internally or externally. It has very good gloss and colour retention as well as excellent resistance to exposure.

Application Instructions

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free of oily substances and deposits of other materials which will prevent or affect adhesion. Prior to application, surfaces must be assessed and treated accordingly.

For metallic constructions: Sandblasting to Sa2½ level (EN ISO 8501-1:2007) is recommended, while for surfaces to be prepared by hand they should be prepared to a minimum St3 level (EN ISO 8501-1:2007) at the time of painting. Apply in one layer.

For agricultural machineries, earth moving machineries etc: Cleaning of the surface with solvent and oxidized areas with electric or manual sander and suitable abrasive mean is recommended. Apply in one layer.

For cementitious floors: The use of vacuum cleaner and thorough cleaning is recommended. Apply in two layers. Dilute with more diluent (25-30%) for the first layer.
